Изготовленные из подвесных рамок 12 светильников будто парят в воздухе; они обращены вниз в пространство, демонстрируя в сиянии света лица, вышитые на тканях. Эти «портреты в свете» – портреты вышивальщиц. Выбирая подобную тематику, Братья Кампана подчеркивают свободомыслящий жест, отказ от стереотипов, призывая дистанцироваться от ранее изведанного и обыденного. Works by Fernando and Humberto Campana in partnership with Institute of Research, Technology and Innovation (IPTI), is to make known and safeguard manual skills and crafts- manship, which increasingly risk “extinction”. 12 lamps one off, made from embroidery frames hanging in the air; they look down on the space and show, in a glow of light, the faces embroidered on the fabrics. These “portraits in light” are those of the embroiderers. The Campanas chose this subject to highlight a freedom-driven gesture, a rejection of stereotypes, because we can and we must distance ourselves from the known and the ordinary.
