В этой работе Шерер проявляет свой неизменный интерес к изображению мужской фигуры, связанные с ним идеи мужественности и гендерным вопросам: создавая работу, художник исходит из личных, действительно важных для него, интересов. Таким образом, Шерер продолжает свое исследование посредством различных очертаний интимных и межличностных отношений. The hyper-realistic sculpture Boy is inspired by the dimension of childhood. With this work Scherer shows his constant interest in the male figure representation and related ideas of masculinity as well as gender ideas: the artist has a very personal approach to this topic that is really relevant to him.
