After Michael Anastassiades, this year will be the turn of Studio Formafantasma (Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin) to create a site-specific light installation in the VIP Lounge. The reception area will be further complemented by a new artistic project promoted by Ruinart starring Brazilian artist Vik Muniz with the contribution of B&B Italia, Kartell and Kvadrat. The involvement of the partners of miart in the promotion of contemporary art is also expressed in projects which span beyond the booths of fieramilanocity, such as Marcello Maloberti ‘s installation in the Herno store in Via Montenapoleone 3 and the original work by Maximum Grimaldi , winner of the On Demand Prize by Snaporazverein in 2017, which will be presented in Galleria Zero… in Milan. A new cycle of miartalks celebrates the renewed partnership between miart and In Between Art Film . The three days of talks open to the public engages over 40 artists, museum curators and directors, collectors, designers and international writers on the theme of “ The Common Good “. The theme of what constitutes common good, how it should be created and how it can be preserved will be explored in relation to the three main areas of miart, modern art, contemporary art and design, intended as spaces of interrelationship with the world around us. In the best tradition, miart will be the epicentre of the Milan Art Week , a packed calendar of exhibitions, events and special openings promoted in collaboration with Comune di Milano (http://www.comune.milano.it ) | Cultura involving the major public institutions, private trusts and non- profit venues of the city.
