Что примечательно в скульптурах, к которым относится работа Flux,– синтез материала и формы: как будто очертания фигуры движутся в направлении скульптурного материала, которому обязаны своим существованием, и смотрят на него снаружи внутрь, обозначая траекторию центростремительного движения. Since 1995 Tony Cragg, with the sculptures of the series “Rational Beings”, has tackled in depth the theme of the human figure, especially the face, perceived as the result of the union of geometric and organic elements which the artist sees not as opposites but rather as two “aspects of our understanding of reality. Words like organic and geometric are only aesthetic descriptions of the same thing.” – Tony Cragg.
